This area includes the agreements with other institutions and makes possible specific studies to be developed, for example, the behavior of wood to be used in the furniture manufacturing, developed to the IBAMA. Moreover, some agreements with companies are made to develop equipment as the Wood Moisture Content Meter, Screws, Research on Alternative Wood (Gum Tree, Plane Tree, etc), the use of MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) and OSB (Oriented Strand Board) in very small and small-scale enterprises.
Some other partnerships are made with industrial associations, unions and universities to develop some projects that meet the demands of the furniture production making companies.
